Somerset Social Enterprise Events 2022

Somerset Social Entrepreneurs Programme is led by the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) in partnership with Somerset Social Enterprise Network (Smart Communities Ltd), Somerset Community Foundation and Spark Somerset. It is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund, which is managed by Somerset County Council within the Somerset region.

All workshops and events are free to attend and for social organisations and aspiring entrepreneurs based in Somerset. Most events are online.

Chard Together is a celebration of communities and cultures that make Chard special. It’s a day of culturally diverse music, food, stories, dance and performance. Book your 20 minute advice slot, or come along at any time to enjoy the amazing atmosphere… we’d love to see you.

Save Money! Manage Rising Energy Costs

Find out more about the new Government Energy Bills Discount Scheme for businesses and eligibility. Check if your energy bills are accurate and identify billing errors. How to save costs and be ‘greener’ and where to go for further support and help. Utility Aid, the largest energy broker in the UK not for profit sector will give advice and answer your questions.

As well as knowing where you stand… there may be additional energy discounts for some SSEN members. The Community Council for Somerset, our sister charity, already have a partnership agreement in place with Utility Aid for the Somerset Community Buildings Network members. Some community buildings (village halls, hubs etc.) have already saved a considerable amount on their bills. Come along and see if you can save.
